Fontainebleau forest…

Thursday we decided to head closer towards Fontainbleau forest (the place where we’re meeting up for Steve’s rock climbing stag do). This day was also the last day for me to receive wages from my work until I return or find work on the road so I sorted my funds into my savings for this trip. We drove about 2 hours, stopping at a services to fill up water for the tank (not drinking), we found another car park in the woods (Parking des Gorges d’Apremont)

and went for another hike for a few hours on the hunt for a Sequoia tree called Cedre Rougeand on the way back we walked to a place called La Rocks, which we thought was a bouldering place but it was actually a view point overlooking the forest.

It was a hotter day but the trees made it cooler. We enjoyed a few cold beers and wine and went to bed in the car park.
